Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

A medical referral is not required. Contact can be made by phone, email or through the Contact section on this page.

Where does assessment occur?

Initial assessments are conducted in your home or at an appropriate and convenient location so as to maximise your child’s potential. If required, further assessment can be carried out at other locations including school, day care or kindergartens.

How much does SPOTS cost?

Your initial assessment costs $450 and includes your assessment visit (up to 1.5 hours), and a report with recommendations. Therapy and follow-up sessions are charged at a rate of $194 per hour. An invoice will be forwarded and payment is to be made within 2 weeks. Reports will not be issued until payment of invoice is finalised.

For children who are eligible for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), please discuss the billing process with your NDIS Planner. All NDIS services, including travel and cancellations, are charged according to the current NDIS Price Guide.

The hourly rate for children under these government initiatives covers additional reporting, financial administration and quality assurance, which is required as part of this funding. You can nominate if you would like to use your funding to cover all or part of your child’s therapy fees.

See Fees below for further details.
